  • PASTOR DAVE SPENCER

    • Dave and Cindy Spencer

Dave has been married to his lovely wife, Cindy, since 1988.  They have three daughters, Sarah, Hannah, and Moriah, and were thrilled to add a son-in-law to the family in 2020.

Dave received his Masters of Arts in Ministry from Moody Bible Institute.  After serving at First Baptist Church in South Portland, Maine for four years, in 2002, he and Cindy moved their family to Concord, New Hampshire where Dave became the Youth Pastor of CenterPoint Church. During his time there he served in various roles including Youth Pastor, Executive Pastor, Co-Senior Pastor, and acting Senior Pastor.

On March 10, 2013, Dave and Cindy were delighted to receive a unanimous invitation to come and serve as pastor at Seneca Community Church. Since his arrival that April, he has been committed to serving alongside the Leadership Team, Ministry Leaders, and family of SCC as they strive to make a difference in people’s lives wherever they are. Dave is passionate about seeing people integrated into the life of Seneca Community as their relationship with God grows.

When he is not busy with family or church, Dave can be found winter camping, hiking, skiing, or cycling the country roads of the Finger Lakes.

DAVE’S MINISTRY FOCUS CAN BE SUMMED UP THIS WAY:

    • Modeling how Jesus can increasingly become more his life’s center
    • Mastering the study and presentation of God’s Word (a life time pursuit)
    • Moving the church toward vision & mission
    • Multiplying leadership within the church

Your job is to teach them the rules and instructions, to show them how to live, what to do. And then you need to keep a sharp eye out for competent men-men who fear God, men of integrity, men who are incorruptible-and appoint them as leaders over groups… If you do this and God so commands, you will be able to stand the strain, and all these people will go home satisfied. – Exodus 18:20-23

  • CINDY SPENCER

    Children's Ministry Director
    • Spencer Family

Cindy has always loved working with kids. She was an elementary teacher for 8 years and involved with children's ministry at both of the other churches where she and Dave have served.  Cindy has been serving in children's ministries at SCC since moving here in 2013 and is excited to now be helping to coordinate all of our children’s programs from infants thru high school. She enjoys teaching kids about the difference Jesus can make in each of our lives, while building relationships with them and engaging them in activities at KidZone, Awana, and VBS.

Cindy values time spent with family, especially their three daughters and son-in-law.  She also works in the office at Waterloo Central School and is kept busy at her lifetime position - taking care of Dave.

  • Sue Schrader

    • Sue Schrader

Sue is a retired elementary school teacher who loves to teach children about Jesus.  She joined the Seneca Community Church staff in the spring of 2021 but has taught in different ministries within the church for many years.  As the KidZone Director, she is passionate about helping kids know Jesus and follow Him.  She and her husband, Keith, are the parents of four adult children and have four grandchildren.  They are business owners in the community and desire, along with SCC, to “make a difference, wherever you are.”

She now works as the vocal music teacher Pre-K – 12 across the street at Romulus Central School. She was married to her husband, Aaron, in July 2019 and they were blessed with the birth of a beautiful daughter, Evelyn Rose, in May 2020.

  • WILL KREMBS

    Axis Youth Group Director
    • Krembs Family

Will grew up in Binghamton, NY. Like many kids who grow up in a Christian home, his faith took some time to become his faith instead of his parents. At around 16 years old, he became serious for Christ and realized he needed more training in order to grow strong in his faith. His first step was to switch from public school to a Christian school which was one of the best decisions of his life. He also began working at a Christian summer camp where he cared for around 30 horses. He fell in love with camp ministry as well as having a heart to reach children and teenagers for Christ. He worked there for about 10 years. After high school he attended Word of Life Bible Institute in Schroon Lake, NY where God changed his heart and continued to “chisel off” pieces that did not reflect Christ in his life. After attending Word of Life for 2 years, he finished his degree of Religious Education at Davis College in Johnson City, NY and met his wife Angelica there as well. Once Angelica finished school, they moved to Seneca Falls for Will to start chiropractic school, which he will finish in November of 2021. They welcomed their first child, Ellie, in February 2021.

Will’s motto as always been “be the role model for a child that you needed when you were that age.” This helps guide him as he continues to have a foot in his “secular” chiropractic job but also while working in ministry as well. He does his best to teach Biblically-based, practical lessons that help kids see that Jesus is real and effects our everyday decisions.
