  • PASTOR DAVE SPENCER

    Lead Pastor
    • Dave and Cindy

Dave has been married to his lovely wife, Cindy, since 1988. They have three daughters, three son-in-laws, and two grandsons.

Dave received his Masters of Arts in Ministry from Moody Bible Institute. After serving at First Baptist Church in South Portland, Maine for fourteen years, in 2002, he and Cindy moved their family to Concord, New Hampshire where Dave became the Youth Pastor of CenterPoint Church. During his time there he served in various roles including Youth Pastor, Executive Pastor, Co-Senior Pastor, and acting Senior Pastor.

On March 10, 2013, Dave and Cindy were delighted to receive a unanimous invitation to come and serve as pastor at Seneca Community Church. Since his arrival that April, he has been committed to serving alongside the Leadership Team, Ministry Leaders, and family of SCC as they strive to make a difference in people’s lives wherever they are. Dave is passionate about seeing people integrated into the life of Seneca Community as their relationship with God grows.

When he is not busy with family or church, Dave can be found winter camping, hiking, skiing, or cycling the country roads of the Finger Lakes.

DAVE’S MINISTRY FOCUS CAN BE SUMMED UP THIS WAY:

    • Modeling how Jesus can increasingly become more his life’s center
    • Mastering the study and presentation of God’s Word (a life time pursuit)
    • Moving the church toward vision & mission
    • Multiplying leadership within the church

Your job is to teach them the rules and instructions, to show them how to live, what to do. And then you need to keep a sharp eye out for competent men-men who fear God, men of integrity, men who are incorruptible-and appoint them as leaders over groups… If you do this and God so commands, you will be able to stand the strain, and all these people will go home satisfied. – Exodus 18:20-23

  • PASTOR JOSH DEPASACRETA

    Associate Pastor
    • Josh and Michal DePasacreta

Pastor Josh is an enthusiastic young man who loves to laugh, be real with people, and get excited about serving Jesus. He grew up in Massachusetts going to church with his family, who now live in New Hampshire. Josh has known Jesus as his savior from a young age and in high school he heard God’s call to minister as a pastor.

Josh went to college at the Moody Bible Institute where he met his kind, spunky, tender-hearted wife, Michal. Michal graduated from Moody with a bachelor’s in Children and Family Ministry, with an emphasis in Elementary Education. She gets excited to tell kids and adults about Jesus and nurture relationships with them. Josh graduated at the same time as Michal with a master’s in Pastoral Ministry and they were married a month afterward in June 2022. They then moved to Vermont, where Michal was a teacher at the Christian School and Josh served as a Pastor in Residence for a church in New Hampshire, working with kids and teens.

Their hobbies include Lego (which is how they met), daily walks with their Shetland Sheepdog named Tozer, coming home to their cat, Hildegard, and watching TV together (pets included), reading, and playing board games and card games. In the summer, instead of at the beach, you’ll find Josh and Michal hiking and camping.

Josh started as the Associate Pastor specializing in Youth Ministry at SCC in June 2024.

We take the responsibility and privilege of serving on the Leadership Team (Elders) very seriously.  Our desire is to steward the church’s God-given mission and vision to the best of our ability while following God's leadership in all that we do.

Mission (why we exist): We hope to be “making a difference wherever you are” by leading people into a growing relationship with God through Christ.

Vision (why we do what we do): We seek to become a multigenerational church that has an undeniable cultural impact on the Finger Lakes by lifting up Jesus Christ, teaching God’s Word, and making disciples who love and live like Jesus.

We hope and pray you will engage at SCC along with us, making a difference and making disciples who love and live like Jesus!
